recently japan suffer one of the worst earth quake in human history, the magnitude of this quake is 8.9! what a massive quake, this quake cause many chain reaction include Tsunami a.k.a. tidal wave that wipe out a big part of the Japan and many tiny shockwave as well. now the major concern is the nuclear power plant that explode few days ago, terrible radioactive debris issue appear and terrify everyone especially those scientist around the world and include me as well because i know how terrible it can be if you kena those radioactive debris, it slowly melt you from inside by constant damage on your DNA that leads to damage whole body systems. people who survive it affect their next generation (their new born baby) like no legs, heart at outside, 4 hands or other strange event that could last as long as 7 generation! damn, but there is a chance of give birth a mutant because those radiation have a chance to change the host's DNA that could lead to produce a new set of DNA that similar to mutant, but the chance is small la... lol...
now got another problem that appear in Malaysia, our government actually want to build our own nuclear reactor in order to reduce fossil fuel power plant, my major concern about this project is the management of the reactor, as you know the QUALITY of our government management is "IMPRESSIVE" after decades of "proving", i first listen this proposal is few years ago by my Chemistry teacher when i ask him something about radiation, after some time, our government annouced they want to build one at 2021 if not remember wrongly, still a long way to go, recently newspaper say that they will decide whether want to build it or not in this year. i very worried about this project because if the management is not good, the reactor will explode like nuclear bomb one although it's not a effective fission reaction due to the control rods in the reactor but it still can cause a great damage. the management of the reactor cannot use those people study Business Admin but Ph.D or master of nuclear study, as you can see, business admin, it control business but this reactor is not a 'business' that they can handle, it need a huge nuclear engineer team to manage it which Malaysia don't really have this kind of professional because study nuclear this subject consider as a watse in our country. nuclear study is not only about bomb and energy, it is used in produce some incredible medicine to cure some diseases and cancer as well.
Whenever speak of nuclear reactor disaster, we always speak of The Chernobyl Disaster in Ukraine (inside Russia) in 1986, that is a terrible terrible disaster, the radioactive debris actually spread all over the world that time. until now that place still cannot go inside due to extreme radioactive watse. i bet rarely got youngsters know about this because they only know how to chase a girl and get hiscore in Facebook game, hehehe... i wonder the shelter that cover the exploded reactor has changed or not because they say want to change it few years ago for better protection.
back to Malaysia, at first i am worried about this issue as i said earlier but after i read a article in national geografic magazine, i feel relief and happy, last year at IKIP student resource center (it's a library but they name it resource center, they try to make it high class a bit by saying like that, hahahaha), a project call MINI NUCLEAR REACTOR develope by Toshiba together with some other scientist and pro in nuclear.
this is the picture of the MINI NUCLEAR PLANT, the concept behind this project is like battery in you electronic device, when the energy is depleted, just need to change the depleted cell into a new one. i like the 10 mega watt reactor, quite "cute", hahahaha. these plant are designed to buried in the ground so when worst case senario happens which is the reactor explode, it will just stay in the ground and it can just assume as a underground nuclear blast test which USA and RUSSIA always do that back on the early age of nuclear bomb. if Malaysia use this, i would be very happy about it because it's much easier to manage compare to those reactor like Japan one but still need great knowledge to manage it. i think this is very suitable for our country that don't really have expertise in this field. it's much safer... well, this problem solved but another one comes out, how to manage the nuclear watse? lol... lazy to think about it, maybe we can learn USA, find a big mountain, make a room for the storage, hmmm, Banjaran Titiwangsa is a good choice maybe, hahahaha, because it's not 'newbie' but a 'old' one, newbie means a newly develope mountain, the old means it has been there for a really long time, the different is the stability of it. ours is stable so the chance of getting hits from earthequake is unlikely to happen, because it's 'old'...
i actually heard malaysia already got a small nuclear reactor few years ago, it's a very very small one, use by a industry tycoon in Malaysia for their factory use one but government, i don't know who is it and true or not but people that knows tell me about it. don't know it's still function or not, i wonder how small is the reactor, 1 mega watt scale? lol...
